At CoastPhysio we offer treatment in your own home, nursing home or residential home. The benefit of receiving treatment in the comfort of your own home cannot be understated.
Our specialist physiotherapists have advanced skills in relation to movement analysis and handling, using a problem solving approach to the assessment and treatment of individuals with disturbances in movement, function and posture as a result of a neurological condition.
Our specialist physiotherapists can treat your condition or injury within a suitably heated pool and are trained to utilise the properties of water to maximise function, which can be physical, physiological and psychological.

In your own home, you are in a familiar environment and therefore you are at your most comfortable and relaxed. This is particularly important if you have dementia and become disorientated or distressed in unfamiliar environments.
When you are in a relaxed state it can enhance treatment and with the elimination of distractions it can lead to a more focused treatment and in some cases progression may be accelerated.
The stressors of travelling and waiting times are entirely eliminated, making it possible for you to focus solely on your treatment.
When we visit your home we can make additional recommendations and modification’s based upon your environment, which give you greater opportunity to promote your recovery then you would have otherwise received. For example, we will be able to suggest equipment or mobility aids to facilitate your daily activities.
CoastPhysio make it possible for you to access physiotherapy if you are unable to access the community due to transport or mobility issues.
CoastPhysio is also highly convenient. We offer times that are flexible toward your own schedule. We also save you the time and money taken to travel to appointments.
Normally the initial visit is between 45-60min. The therapist will conduct the detailed assessment of your needs, discuss and agree goals of what you want to achieve and possibly discuss treatment options in order to work towards these goals.
The follow up visits are usually between 30-45min depending on the type of treatment you are receiving.
At CoastPhysio we understand the importance of continuity and endeavour to provide you with the same physiotherapist throughout your assessment or treatment process.
Discounts are provided for the purchase of multiple follow up sessions. Please refer to our pricing page for more information on this.
We can provide a comprehensive report to your GP or specialist following our intervention detailing your assessment and treatment details as well as your outcomes. This is optional and we would need to gain your consent to do this and there will be a charge.
At CoastPhysio we pride ourselves on ensuring holistic care. We are able to refer you to a specialist geriatrician, podiatrist, occupational therapist and more.
